Register Radio Licenses

1.

Radio License FLASHcode upgrades are purchased from Motorola Solutions

• The EID (Entitlement ID) is issued to the user.

Enter the EID and click the "Query" button.

• The RMC must be connected to the Internet (online).

• The EID information appears in the Radio Licensing window (see the Included Columns table below).

• The "Clear All" button clears all currently loaded EID information.

Click the desire EID checkbox.

• Based on a "Model Number" match and a "Current FLASHcode" number match, qualified radios (for this "New FLASHcode" Feature Set upgrade) appear in the "Available Radios" window.

• Available Radios can be filtered by Group (See Grouping Radios).

Choose to "Add" or "Add All" radios to the "Selected Radios" window.

With the appropriate radios in the "Selected Radios" window, click the "Register" button to allocate the "New FLASHcode" Feature Set Upgrade to the radios.

• Notice that from the RMC’s Radio View, the Modified field's "FLASH Code" indicator is activated for all radios with pending Radio Licenses.

• The "Status" of these registered new FLASHcodes can now be tracked in the Manage Radio Licenses window.

• A new template is created for each radio. If more than one radio is using the same template, then only one new template gets created for the shared template.

In order to complete the upgrade, a Write job must be scheduled and completed for the radio(s) (see Schedule a Job).
